Bill started playing guitar at the age of ten. At the age of fifteen Bill met a lifelong friend and first major influence in Eric Moburg.

Moburgs amazing guitar playing helped fine tune Bills own ability and skill. Bill attended Berkley College of Music in the summer of 1993. While there Bill studied under Jon Fin. Through Jon Fin , Bill met Andy Timmons of "Danger Danger" .

Fin and Timmons performed together at Berkley's performing arts center. That performance had an impact on Bill. "It was the most impressive performance on the guitar I have ever witnessed" said Bill. Bill has played with several bands like Savage and Witch. Bill also played with Bob and Jim off and on.
